Sexy, Scented Soap Rolls

From the Hartford Courant
June 1, 2003
By Greg Morago

Are you one of those people who takes your own soap to hotels? Or one of those people who takes hotel soap home with you? If you're the latter, you probably have a bathroom full of wee bars and Lilliputian bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

If you're the former, you might like to know about Soap Rolls, a nifty new soap shape that's perfect for taking on vacation and plopping into the soap dish of your next hotel bathroom. Elongated cylinders of translucent glycerin soap, these candy-colored batons measure about 4 inches - making them perfect for packing and more fun to handle than a traditional rectangle or oval bar. They also last longer than regular soap because they don't collect water the way bars do (you can even stand them up on end).

At $2 each, you won't feel bad leaving a Soap Roll on the sink of your vacation getaway. Think of them as disposable luxuries.

Soap Rolls come in scents such as mango, vanilla, peppermint, apple and cinnamon. A Sizzlin' Summer Six Pack features sunny-scented rolls of raspberry, watermelon, mango, lavender, tangerine and grapefruit ($12).

Soap Rolls are such a departure from traditional soaps that you might even get your little ones to take a bath without an Alamo-like standoff. They're sold in specialty stores and spas. For more information, see www.soaprolls.com.
